Ramadan Umrah Packages 2027 from Canada

Ramadan 2027 is expected to start from about February 8 to March 9, 2027, subject to moon sighting. Qiblatain offers 7, 10, 12 and 14 night Ramadan Umrah packages from Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver, starting at CAD $900 per person. Every package includes flights, Umrah visa help, a Nusuk-registered hotel and airport transfers. Book the last ten nights at least four months ahead.

The Prophet ﷺ said that Umrah in Ramadan carries the reward of Hajj (Sahih al-Bukhari 1782). That single hadith is why the Haram fills the way it does in Ramadan, and why the last ten nights sell out first.

When is Ramadan 2027, and which dates should I book?

Ramadan 1448 AH is expected to begin around February 8, 2027 and end around March 9, 2027. Eid al-Fitr should fall near March 10 or 11. The exact start moves by a day either way once the moon is sighted, so we build every itinerary with a one-day buffer.

For Canadians, the timing works well. February and early March are the coldest, quietest weeks of the year here, and airfares out of Toronto and Montreal are off-peak. One thing to note for parents: Ramadan ends before the March break in 2027, so the break is not an option this year. Family Day weekend, February 15, does fall inside the first Ashra.

Which Ashra should I choose?

Ramadan splits into three parts of ten days each, called Ashras. Which one you pick sets your price and your crowd level. It is the biggest choice on this page.

Pick the First Ashra if you want space in the Mataf, shorter permit waits and the lowest price. You can pray close to the Kaaba without a fight.

Pick the Last 10 Days if you want Laylat al-Qadr in the Haram and you accept that you will pray in the courtyard, not near the Kaaba, and that hotel rates roughly double.

Most first-time pilgrims from Canada are happier in the First or Second Ashra. The reward of Ramadan Umrah is the same on day 3 as it is on day 27.

How early do I need to book?

Four months ahead for the last ten nights. Two to three months for the first and second Ashra.

Two things run out, and they run out separately.

The first is seats. Good one-stop routings out of Canadian cities in February are limited, and they go early. The second is rooms. Hotels near the Haram are held by operators who commit months ahead.

Call us in January for a Laylat al-Qadr trip and we can usually still fly you. But the hotel will be further out, and the price will be higher.

Then there is the paperwork. Umrah visa approvals normally take three to seven working days. They slow down as Ramadan gets closer.

What is included in a Qiblatain Ramadan package?

Suhoor and iftar arrangements and Taraweeh timings are set out for each hotel on the individual package page. Not every hotel offers the same meal plan, so check the package you are looking at.

Do I need a Nusuk permit for Umrah in Ramadan?

Yes. This is the part that catches people out, and it is the easiest thing to get wrong.

Every international pilgrim must book an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app before entering Masjid al-Haram. Entry gates scan a QR code. No code, no entry. The same applies to a Rawdah visit in Madinah, which needs its own separate booking.

Saudi guidance also asks each pilgrim to perform Umrah once during Ramadan, so that others get their turn. Plan your rites around that.

We register your booking on Nusuk as part of the package and walk you through the app before you fly. If you have never used it, we will set it up with you over the phone.

What do I need for the Umrah visa from Canada?

You need a Canadian passport or a valid Canadian PR with your passport, valid at least six months past your travel date. You also need a confirmed hotel booking registered on the Nusuk platform. A visa will not be approved without one.

We handle the Umrah Visa as part of every Ramadan package, so you are not filling in Saudi government forms on your own.

This is exactly where cheap online deals fail. If an agent books you a hotel that is not registered, your visa gets refused and your money is already spent. Every hotel we sell is on the Nusuk system.

Women of any age can now apply and travel without a mahram. That rule changed in 2022 and has not gone back.

How close should my hotel be to the Haram?

Closer than you think, because you will be fasting.

In an ordinary month, a 20 minute walk is fine. In Ramadan, that same walk happens five times a day on an empty stomach, in heavy foot traffic, and again at 11 p.m. for Taraweeh. Elderly parents feel it first.

Our 5 star Ramadan packages sit inside the Haram courtyard ring. The 4 star options are usually a 5 to 10 minute walk. The 3 star options use hotels with shuttle service. When you call, tell us the age of the oldest person in your group and we will match the hotel to them, not to the brochure.

Can I fast and travel on the same day?

You are allowed not to. A traveller may break the fast and make up the days later. Many scholars consider this the easier and better choice on a long flight.

A Toronto to Jeddah trip with one stop runs 15 to 18 hours door to door, and you cross eight time zones. Our practical advice: break your fast on the flight, sleep on the second leg, arrive, rest for a few hours, then start fresh with the local schedule the next morning. Trying to hold the fast through the journey usually costs you your first two days in Makkah.

What if I am bringing children or elderly parents?

Tell us before we quote. It changes the hotel, not just the room count.

For elderly parents, ask about wheelchair access at the hotel entrance and whether the Haram gate nearest your hotel has a ramp. For children, an in-room kettle and a fridge matter more than star rating when suhoor is at 4 a.m.

We do not charge for children under two who share a bed. Ask about family rooms rather than booking two doubles, since it is often cheaper.

How do I know a Canadian Umrah agency is legitimate?

Check the TICO number. Any travel agency selling to Ontario residents must be registered with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario, and that registration comes with a compensation fund. Qiblatain is an Islamic Travel Agency in Canada trading under Harmain Travel Limited, and TICO 50018801.

Then check three more things with any agency you call:

Are the hotels named, or just described as "close to Haram"?
Will they put the full inclusions in writing before payment?
Do they have a Canadian street address and a landline?

Saudi authorities have suspended operators for failing to provide the housing they promised. A named hotel on paper is your protection.

What if I cannot get away in February?

This is the most common problem we hear from Canadian families. Ramadan 2027 lands mid-February, and not everyone can take two weeks off in the middle of a work year or pull children out of school.

You have three other options.

The Easter school break: Ramadan ends around March 9, and the Easter break follows a few weeks later in late March. Our Easter Umrah Packages are built around the school holiday, so children miss no class time. The Haram is far calmer than in Ramadan.

The December winter break: Two full weeks off school, mild weather in Makkah, and lighter crowds than Ramadan. Our December Umrah Packages are the most popular family option we sell, and they are usually the best value of the year.

Is Umrah in Ramadan really equal to Hajj?

In reward, yes, according to the hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari. It does not replace your obligation to perform Hajj if you are able.

How much does Ramadan Umrah cost from Canada?

Can I perform Umrah more than once during Ramadan?

Saudi authorities ask each pilgrim to perform Umrah once during Ramadan so that more people get a turn. Your permit is booked for a set date and time.
