How much does Umrah cost from Vancouver?
Umrah from Vancouver costs between CAD $1,310 and $1,999 per person with Qiblatain. The price depends on how many nights you stay and how close your hotel sits to the Haram.
Vancouver holds a few hundred dollars higher than Toronto or Ottawa because of the flight. There's no direct service from YVR to Jeddah or Madinah, so every route adds a connection through the Gulf or Europe, and that costs more to buy.

What's included in your Vancouver Umrah package?
- Return flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR)
- Umrah visa processing
- Hotel in Makkah, walking distance to Masjid al-Haram
- Hotel in Madinah, walking distance to Masjid an-Nabawi
- Airport transfers in Saudi Arabia
- Transport between Makkah and Madinah

How long does the trip take from Vancouver?
There's no direct flight from Vancouver to Saudi Arabia. Every route connects once, usually through the Gulf or Europe, and the trip takes 18 to 22 hours each way depending on the layover.
Here's what that means for your time off:

Most Vancouver travellers pick 7 nights. It gives you enough time in both cities without burning through three weeks of vacation.
If you're travelling with elderly parents, tell us. We'll look for the route with the shortest layover rather than the cheapest fare, and we can arrange wheelchair assistance at every airport on the way.
When do you put on ihram flying from Vancouver?
You enter ihram before your plane crosses the miqat boundary, not after you land. On a flight into Jeddah, the crew usually announces it about 45 minutes to an hour before landing. Most people change into ihram at the connecting airport, or on the plane before that announcement.
If your itinerary flies into Madinah first, you don't need ihram on the plane. You'll enter it at Dhul Hulayfah also knows as Abyar Ali, on the way to Makkah.
How it works?
- Tell us your dates. Call, WhatsApp, or send the form. Rough dates are fine to start.
- We quote you. Real seat prices for your dates, not a placeholder. We'll show you the hotel and how far it actually is from the Haram.
- You confirm and pay a deposit. We hold the booking and start your visa.
- We send your documents. Flights, hotel vouchers, visa, transfer times, and a plain-language briefing on ihram and miqat.
- You travel. Our team is reachable the whole time you're away.
Why Vancouver families book with Qiblatain?
- 16+ years in business. Trading as Qiblatain, operated by Harmain Travel Limited.
- TICO licensed — 50018801. Registration 1001525103. That's Ontario's travel regulator. It means your money is protected by a compensation fund if something goes wrong.
- Authorised by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
- 24/7 support. Someone answers when you're 11 time zones away and something changes.
- Real hotel distances. If we say walking distance, we tell you the actual walk in minutes.
Umrah from Vancouver in Ramadan
Ramadan is the busiest time of the year and the most expensive. Hotels near the Haram sell out months in advance, and the last ten nights sell out first.
If you're planning Ramadan Umrah from Vancouver, book four to six months ahead. Booking late doesn't just cost more. It usually means a hotel much further from the Haram, which is a hard trade when you're praying there five times a day in a crowd.
Call us early and we'll hold a room while you sort out your time off.
Who we look after?
First-time pilgrims: We walk you through ihram, miqat, tawaf and sa'i before you go. No question is too basic.
Families with children: We'll pick hotels with a shorter walk and rooms that fit everyone.
Elderly parents: Shorter layovers, wheelchair assistance, and hotels as close to the Haram as your budget allows.
Women travelling without a mahram: Saudi rules now allow this for Umrah. We can place you with a group if you'd rather not travel alone.
Groups from Vancouver mosques: Group rates for 10 or more. Call us and we'll build something around your dates.
Serving the Lower Mainland
We book Umrah travel for pilgrims across Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Delta, Langley and Abbotsford. Everything is handled by phone, WhatsApp and email, so you don't need to travel to an office.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much is Umrah from Vancouver?
Umrah from Vancouver starts at CAD $1,310 per person for 5 nights in 3-star hotels. A 7-night 4-star package is around $1,649, and 10 nights in 5-star hotels starts about $1,999. Prices include flights, visa, hotels and transport.
Is there a direct flight from Vancouver to Jeddah?
No. There's no direct service from YVR to Jeddah or Madinah. Every route connects once, most often through the Gulf or Europe, and total travel time is roughly 18 to 22 hours each way.
Do I need a separate Umrah visa?
Canadians can perform Umrah on a Saudi eVisa or an Umrah visa. We handle the application as part of your package, so you don't have to work out which one applies to you. You'll need a passport valid for at least six months.
How far in advance should I book?
Six to eight weeks is enough for most dates. For Ramadan, book four to six months ahead. Hotels close to the Haram sell out long before the flights do, especially for the last ten nights.
Can women travel for Umrah without a mahram?
Yes. Saudi rules now allow women to perform Umrah without a mahram. If you'd prefer not to travel alone, we can place you with one of our group departures from Canada.
How long should I take off work?
Plan on 8 to 9 days for a 5-night package, 10 to 11 days for 7 nights, and 13 to 14 days for 10 nights. The flight from Vancouver eats up two days on its own.
Can I go to Madinah first?
Yes, and many Vancouver travellers prefer it. Flying into Madinah first means you don't enter ihram on the plane — you do it at Dhul Hulayfah on the way to Makkah. Tell us when you book and we'll route you that way.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellation terms depend on the airline and hotel, and we'll give you the exact terms in writing before you pay. As a TICO-licensed agency, your payments are covered by Ontario's travel compensation fund.
