Umrah Packages 2026 | All-inclusive Umrah deals

Qiblatain offers all-inclusive Umrah packages from Canada, starting at CAD $1,115 per person. Every package covers return flights, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, your Umrah visa, and ground transport. You can book 5, to 7 nights in a 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotel. We are TICO registered, so your payment is protected under Ontario law.

Qiblatain is an Umrah travel agency in Canada operated by Harmain Travel Limited, TICO registration 50018801. We have been booking travel for 16 years from our office at 785 Wonderland Road South, Unit C3, London, Ontario.

Call or WhatsApp 647 258 1244. Asking questions costs nothing.

How much does Umrah cost from Canada?

Umrah from Canada starts at CAD $1,115 per person. Most Canadian pilgrims spend between $1,300 and $1,900. The final number depends on three things: how many nights you stay, how close your hotel sits to the Haram, and what time of year you fly.

We also offers a deluxe tier, which puts you in a better hotel without a full jump in star rating. Seven nights economy package starts at $1,180 in 3-star, deluxe Package at $1,295 in 4-star and a premium Package at $1,685 in 5-star.

Three things this grid tells you that most Umrah agencies will not.

Extra nights are cheap. Extra comfort is not. Going from 5 nights to 10 nights in a 3-star hotel costs $65 more. Going from 3-star to 5-star for the same 5 nights costs $412 more. The flight is the biggest single cost in your package, and it does not change with the length of your stay. If you can take the time off, longer trips are the best value on this page.

The gap between 3-star and 4-star is almost nothing. Sixty dollars at 10 nights. Very few pilgrims should book the 3-star once they see that.

The 5-star jump is buying you meters, not marble. More on that below.

What does the price include, and what does it not?

Check this list against any quote you receive from anyone. An Umrah package from Canada should cover your flights, both hotels, your visa and all ground transport. Ours does.

Included in your package:

  • Return flights from Canada to Jeddah or Madinah
  • Hotel in Makkah, with the walking distance to the Haram written on your invoice
  • Hotel in Madinah, near Masjid an-Nabawi
  • Your Umrah visa, processed by our team
  • Airport pickup and drop-off in Saudi Arabia
  • Bus travel between Makkah and Madinah
  • Daily breakfast at both hotels
  • A Canadian phone number you can reach the whole time you are away

Not included:

  • The meningitis ACWY vaccine, which Saudi Arabia requires
  • Travel insurance
  • Lunch and dinner
  • Ziyarat tours of the historic sites, which you can add
  • Extra baggage above the airline allowance
  • Personal spending

We publish the exclusion list on purpose. A quote that looks $200 cheaper usually hides two or three of these. Ask every agency for their exclusions in writing before you pay a deposit.

Umrah and Hajj are not the same trip

Umrah can be performed at any time of year and takes a few hours. Hajj happens on fixed dates once a year, takes five to six days, and is obligatory once in a lifetime for every Muslim who is able. Umrah is not obligatory, though it carries great reward.

People use the two words together, so this gets confusing. The difference matters for both your budget and your calendar.

A full Umrah trip from Canada costs between roughly $1,115 and $1,775 per person. Hajj requires a separate quota-controlled visa and costs several times more.

Many Canadians perform Umrah first. It is shorter, cheaper, easier to book, and it lets you see Makkah and Madinah before the far bigger commitment of Hajj. If Hajj is what you are planning, ask us about our Hajj packages instead.

What actually happens on an Umrah trip?

Umrah has four steps: enter ihram, perform tawaf (seven circuits around the Kaaba), perform sa'i (seven walks between Safa and Marwah), then shave or trim the hair. The rites take two to four hours.

If this is your first time, here is the shape of it.

  1. You enter the state of ihram before crossing the miqat, which usually happens on the plane. Men wear the two white cloths. Everyone makes the intention and begins the talbiyah.
  2. At the Haram you perform tawaf, seven circuits around the Kaaba. Then two rak'ahs of prayer near Maqam Ibrahim, and you drink Zamzam water.
  3. Next is sa'i, walking seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah, now enclosed inside the mosque.
  4. Finally, men shave their heads or trim their hair, and women cut a small length. That completes the Umrah and you leave ihram.

The rites themselves take two to four hours, longer when it is crowded. The rest of your trip is prayer at the Haram, rest, and your days in Madinah. This is why a 5-night package is enough to complete Umrah, and why longer packages are about worship and rest rather than requirement.

Our team walks every first-time pilgrim through this on the phone before departure. Nobody arrives unsure of what to do.

Star ratings really mean walking distance

The star rating on an Umrah package is not about the lobby. It is about how far you walk to the Haram, five times a day, in heat.

3-star hotels sit roughly 800 metres to 1.5 kilometres out. There is a shuttle bus, but it does not run at every hour. A fit adult manages fine. A 70-year-old parent praying five times daily does not.

4-star hotels are around 400 to 800 metres away. Most people walk this comfortably. This is where most Canadian families land.

5-star hotels are in or beside the Haram courtyard. Some connect directly to the mosque. In Ramadan, or with a wheelchair, or with elderly parents, those metres are the whole trip.

Ask us for the exact distance in metres before you book, and we will put it on your invoice. If any agency will only tell you "close to Haram," walk away. That phrase means nothing and it is the single most common complaint we hear from pilgrims who booked elsewhere.

The cheapest Umrah is not always the best value

We sell budget packages and we are happy to. But "cheap" goes wrong in predictable ways, and you should know them.

A low price usually comes from one of four places. A hotel far from the Haram. A flight with two stops and a 14-hour layover. Meals and transfers stripped out and charged later. Or an agency that is not registered and not protected.

The first two are honest trade-offs. If you are young, healthy and travelling light, take them and save the money. The third is a pricing trick. The fourth is a risk to your entire payment.

Here is how to get a genuinely low price without any of that. Fly outside Ramadan, ideally between October and February. Take 3-star or 4-star instead of 5-star. Travel with a group of eight or more, which brings the per-person cost down. Book three to four months ahead, before the airline fare climbs.

Ask us for the honest cheap option and we will build it. We will also tell you what you are giving up.

Booking Umrah for 2026

October to February is the best window for Canadians. Mild weather in Makkah, lighter crowds, lowest prices of the year. Our December departures match the school break, so families travel without pulling children out of class.

Ramadan is the busiest and most expensive season. Hotels near the mosque sell out six to eight months ahead, and the last ten days cost the most because of Laylat al-Qadr. Our Ramadan packages start at CAD $975.

Summer is cheap for a reason. Makkah passes 45°C in July and August. We book it, but only for younger, healthy pilgrims who know what that means.

Book three to four months ahead for a normal trip. Six to eight months for Ramadan. Eight or more for the last ten days.

Your Umrah visa

We apply for your visa. You do not need to work out the Saudi system yourself.

We need a Canadian passport valid at least six months past your travel date, a passport-style photo on a white background, proof of your meningitis ACWY vaccine, and your booking form. Permanent residents holding another passport can travel with us too, though the paperwork differs, so call early.

Two rules Canadians ask about constantly. Women aged 18 and over may perform Umrah without a mahram under current Saudi rules. Many people still believe the old rule applies. We book solo sisters and groups of sisters regularly. And children need their own passport and their own visa at any age, including infants.

Saudi visa rules change. We check current requirements on every booking, so you never work from outdated information found online. Full details on applying for an Umrah visa from Canada.

Why TICO registration should decide who you book with?

This matters more than the price, and almost no Umrah agency explains it.

Qiblatain operates as Harmain Travel Limited, TICO registration 50018801. TICO is the Travel Industry Council of Ontario, the government body that regulates travel agencies in this province.

Here is what it means for your money. If a TICO-registered agency fails and you lose your trip, you may be able to claim from the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund. If the agency is not registered, that protection does not exist. Your deposit is simply gone.

Every year Canadian families lose money to Umrah operators who take payment by e-transfer to a personal account, promise a hotel beside the Haram, and disappear. It is a real problem in our community and we will not pretend otherwise.

Run these three checks on any agency before you pay, including us.

  1. Ask for their TICO number, then look it up on the official TICO website https://tico.ca/ yourself.
  2. Never e-transfer money to a personal account. Pay a registered business.
  3. Get the hotel name in writing. Not a star rating, not a promise.

Qiblatain is also TICO protected under TICO number 50018801, and authorised by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. You can see every credential we hold on our Umrah and Hajj travel agency homepage, and we will send you any of the numbers if you ask.

Travelling with family

Most Umrah bookings from Canada are family bookings. Tell us who is coming and we will build the trip around them.

With elderly parents, book within 400 metres of the Haram even if it costs more, and let us arrange wheelchair assistance at every airport including the connection.

With young children, choose 10 nights rather than 5. You are not fighting jet lag the entire trip. Ask for a room with a fridge and kettle. We can request adjoining rooms, though hotels confirm those on arrival, not in advance.

With a medical condition, tell us before booking. Some medicines need paperwork to enter Saudi Arabia and we will tell you what to carry.

Groups of eight or more from a family or a masjid usually get a lower per-person price. Call for a group quote.

Which city will you fly from?

We depart from six Canadian cities: Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa. Call us for the full list of dates and hotels from your airport.

Your departure city changes the price by a few hundred dollars per person. Nothing on the Saudi side moves. The hotels, the visa, the transport and the ground service are identical no matter where you fly from. The whole difference is the airfare out of your home airport, which comes down to how many airlines compete on that route.

That opens up a saving worth checking. Ottawa and Edmonton are consistently our two cheapest departures, and the gap between them and the priciest city runs to roughly $350 per person. For a family of five, that is over $1,700. If you live within driving distance of a cheaper airport, ask us to quote both and compare.

Do the full math before you decide, though. Add fuel, a night in an airport hotel if the flight leaves early, and two to three weeks of airport parking. On a family booking the saving usually survives all of that. On a solo booking it often does not, and the extra travel day is rarely worth it.

There are very few non-stop flights from Canada to Saudi Arabia. Almost every route connects once, through Europe, Istanbul or a Gulf airport. From central Canada expect 15 to 18 hours door to door. From the west coast, 20 hours or more.

That connection is where trips go wrong, and it is the part we spend the most time on. A four-hour layover costs more than a fourteen-hour one, and with an elderly parent or a toddler it is money well spent. A long overnight layover can also mean an extra hotel and an extra visa in the transit country. Tell us who is travelling and we will show you both routes with the real price difference, rather than quietly booking you the cheapest one.

Living somewhere else in Canada? We book pilgrims from Winnipeg, Halifax, Regina, Saskatoon, Hamilton and Windsor every year. We add a domestic connecting flight to your package and check your baggage through, so you are not collecting suitcases halfway.

Already booked your own flights, or using air miles? We sell hotels, visa and ground transport on their own, without the flight. Send us your dates and we will price it the same day.

How booking works?

  1. Call or WhatsApp 647 258 1244, or email info@qiblatain.ca with your city, dates, group size and budget.
  2. We send two or three options, each with the hotel name, walking distance in metres, flight route and full price.
  3. You pay a deposit to hold it. The balance is due before we issue your visa.
  4. We process your visa and send a checklist covering the vaccine, packing and what to expect at Jeddah airport.
  5. We stay reachable while you are away, 24 hours a day, in English, Urdu and Arabic.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Umrah cost from Canada?

Umrah from Canada starts at CAD $1,115 per person with Qiblatain for a 5-night 3-star package. Most Canadian families spend $1,300 to $1,900 per person. Ramadan travel and hotels beside the Haram cost more.

How long does Umrah take?

The rites take two to four hours. A full trip from Canada runs 5, 7, or 10 nights, with 7 nights being the most common choice.

Can a woman perform Umrah without a mahram?

Yes. Women aged 18 and over may perform Umrah without a mahram under current Saudi rules.

Do I need the meningitis vaccine?

Yes. Saudi Arabia requires proof of meningococcal ACWY vaccination for Umrah pilgrims. Get it from your family doctor or a travel clinic at least ten days before you fly. It is not included in the package price.

When is the cheapest time to go?

October to February, outside Ramadan and outside the school breaks.

How far ahead should I book?

Three to four months normally. Six to eight months for Ramadan.

Are prices per person or per family?

Per person, based on two sharing a room. Children sharing with parents cost less. Solo travellers pay more because the room is not split.

What if I need to cancel?

Terms depend on your airline and hotel, and we give them to you in writing before you pay. Airline tickets are the least flexible part. We recommend travel insurance on every booking.

Do you offer payment plans?

Call us. We can usually split payment between deposit and a later balance date, with no interest.

Talk to someone before you book.

Choosing an Umrah package from a agency is hard. Every hotel photo looks the same and star ratings hide the thing you actually need to know.

Call and ask the awkward questions. How far is the hotel, in metres. What is not in the price. What happens if my flight is cancelled. We would rather answer them now than have you find out in Makkah.
